Newcastle IFA launches online academy for trainee advisers

Newcastle-based IFA Lowes Financial Management has launched an online academy for trainee advisers taking the Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) level 4 diploma in regulated financial planning.

The academy offers 12-week courses for each of the R0 exams that make up the diploma.

The courses include weekly workbooks containing activities and practice exam questions, with a weekly live webinar and a mock exam in the middle followed by personalised feedback and tutor support. The courses are accessible for six months.

The courses are normally priced at £650, but are currently being offered for £350, including the cost of the exam, with a further 10% off this price throughout January. Courses are starting in February for R01, R02 and R03.

Shannon Fox, education and training coordinator at Lowes Financial Management, said the academy aims to ‘inspire, motivate and encourage’ the next generation into financial services.

‘With many advisers and other professionals nearing retirement, the industry is at a turning point, so there is no better time than the present to embark on a career in financial services,’ she said.

‘Many people struggle to motivate themselves when studying alone, coupled with a lack of time and engaging resources. At Lowes Financial Academy, we bring groups of learners together and support them through the CII’s level 4 diploma in regulated financial planning by providing easy to read materials, live webinars and tutor support.’

The academy can be found online here.
